A few months ago I decided to start selling my stuff here instead of eBay because they adopted unfriendly policies that made selling there a nightmare for me, but when I tried to list here on GA, I found I had to register all over again -- with the SAME info! This has happened 3 times and twice I have had to register with a different username, but the other info the same. The problem is that the website seems to lose all or part of my registration info. My account didn't exist, but I was sent a temp password anyway...???

I'm afraid if I actually get my stuff up to sell I may not be able to get into my account to complete the transactions. How can I be certain this won't happen?

My previous posts had disappeared, but now that I've registered again my posts from before are back. I'm really confused.

Do you by any chance use Google Chrome? (The site acts crazy on Google Chrome, so if you do, be sure to use a different browser, like FireFox.)

I would send an e-mail to the site owner, and see if he can help you.

Just hit the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page.

Did you try using the temporary password with any of the user names you had created, to see if it worked?

Oh, and also... Are you sure you created an account on the actual site, and not the forums? The two are not connected, and you have to register separately for both. (Some people are not aware of that, so thought I should mention it.)

This is me, I had to register with different info this time.

I thought there were separate logins. I had the logins for both written down, but registering the wrong one for forums, with the same email address as the old forum account, got me into my old forum account. I was actually using Chrome, but it shouldn't do THAT!

I figured out I had to use Firefox to post auctions, and I finally got some up, but now I can't get into my forum account (Episode 6). The temp passwords I get sent for the forum login don't work at all. Come to think of it, they never have worked for me regardless of which browser I used.

This time my previous posts are still here, but apparently no password in the world will get me into that account.

I'm worried my auction account will get lost or locked up again too while I have transactions to tend.

Ok, I'm back. I sent a message from my email and from the website. I don't know if somebody reset or changed something -- if so, THANK YOU whoever did it--, but I can get into my account with my password which was incorrect yesterday, but is now correct. I had problems logging into the forum. The first several tries the website acted like I was logging in, but just took me to the list of forums as if I was logged in, but I actually wasn't.

Am I the only one getting these glitches? Hopefully things will go more smoothly from now on.

Admin most likely took care of it after receiving your email.

Hrm...wasn't me...no idea but I'm not getting any reports from anyone else about problems logging into the site.

The main issues usually are:

1. Using Chrome

2. Confusing the logins for GothAuctions.com and MyGothAuctions.com

As I always say, users should contact me when this stuff happens because I can usually help out before it becomes an annoying recurring issue.

If you're still having problems, please let me know using the contact us form or directly via email if you already have my address and I'll investigate further...but as far as this particular user's problem I haven't done anything at all..it must have been the confusion between the two site logins.

I hope to have this fixed soon...I'm working on a unified account system atm...
