Can we reply to our own post if we have a new auction to announce, rather than making a new post? My question as well, or is it acceptible to have several posts about different auctions ?? Thanks!

In fact, that would make sense. I think no bumping period is a bit obsessive. I usually (when selling) make 1 post per week, then bump it once only (usually 4 days later). I don't have a lot of time to write a whole new post during the week as I work upwards of 60+ hours (I suppose I can just copy & paste though *shrug*). My point is if it's obsessive posting that is bothersome, what's the difference whether someone posts 10x/day or bumps 10x/day?! In fact, I think it would be more of a priority to crack down on the 10x/day posters as they're the ones who clog the board w/ multiple threads. At least the 10x/day bumper is confined to one or a few threads. Yes, I know I'm exaggerating, but I think my point stands. Either way, I will follow this new rule so as to not have my 1 bump per week post deleted when I have never blatantly abused GO forum space by bumping a post one (maybe two at most) time. I just think it's a bit of a not-well-thought-out rule. Then again, I'm no admin, so what do I know, right?! *shrug* Ange

So if I put up some 21 day auctions and after two weeks I make a post abut my auctions ending in a few days, is it gonna get deleted. I thought it would be ok to re advertise my auctions after so long.

Does that make sense? ?? mine got deleted - I've been randoming adding new auctions today, so after a few hours I'd post about them. I just added to my post with an update about more auctions I had added. I wasn't bumping for added exposure - I was adding to my previous message, so why was it deleted?

I fully understand that there is a ton of other people that like to post about their auctions too. I guess because I don't pay much attention it just looks a lot like mine are being removed. I don't think I was being rude at all. I was just expressing my point of view and explaining why I was upset. I guess I could have sent a PM, but just incase anyone felt the same way I wanted everyone to see the responce I recieved. Noc. I wasn't pointing this out toward you if that is what it looked like. I just wanted to know why. I guess saying that I was already annoyed today won't help but I didn't meen to sound rude if that is what it looked like. I fully understand why you do what you do. I just wanted to know why is all. Thank you for your responce.

Adding more items in the same day? Sure, post an update. Just a thought... I think if anyone plans on listing a bunch of items in one day, then you should wait until you get them all posted before advertising them. It seems like recently a few people are advertising their items, and then updating the post like 3 times or more in one day when they add new items. Why not just wait until all the auctions are posted and THEN advertise, so you don't end up bumping your post 4 times in one day? *Edited to add: I know that there are times when we think we are done listing auctions for the day, but then we find more stuff to list later. It happens to everyone. However, I just think that updating your post 3 or 4 times in a row is a bit much, and is not really fair to everyone else who wants their auctions seen.

I think there should also be a rule about how much you post about your auctions. I mean, someone here I see posts a new thread it seems like EVERY DAY. It's a little excessive and not fair to everybody else who posts in moderation, you know? Adding more items in the same day? Sure, post an update. Just a thought... I think if anyone plans on listing a bunch of items in one day, then you should wait until you get them all posted before advertising them. ETA- didn't see this until after I posted I totally agree.
